Chaincode configuration (Installing, instantiating, and upgrading)

To configure the chaincode, go to, Dashboard > Settings > Chaincode configuration

Propose chaincode installation

You must install the chaincode on every peer that will run this chaincode.

In this section, you can create a proposal to install a chaincode on a peer. Any given chaincode may only be installed on a peer that does not already have the chaincode installed. Select a chaincode by tag and then selected from the list of peers which do not have the given chaincode installed.

The Select peers to install drop-down list displays the list of available chaincodes. Select a chaincode and click Propose changes.

Propose chaincode instantiation

In this section, you can propose the instantiation of a given chaincode on a peer. You may only instantiate a chaincode if it is already installed on the peer, but is not currently running. Once a peer is selected, you will be able to select from a listen of installed chaincodes.

The Select peers to initiate drop-down list displays the list of available chaincodes. Select a chaincode and click Propose changes.

Propose chaincode upgrade

In this section, you can create a proposal to upgrade the chaincode on a peer. You may only upgrade the chaincode on a peer if the latest version of the chaincode is not already installed. Once a peer is selected you will be able to select any chaincodes which are installed on the peer, but are not the latest version.

The Select peers to upgrade drop-down list displays the list of available chaincodes. Select a chaincode and click Propose changes.
